Dramatist of the 1981 BBC Radio serialisation of 'The Lord of the Rings' (also 'Tales from the Perilous Realm'); collaborated with John Howe on 'Tolkien's Maps of Middle-earth'; author of the official film guides to 'The Lord of the Rings' and 'The Hobbit' trilogies and 'Peter Jackson: A Filmmaker's Journey'; editor of 'The Fall of Númenor' (winner of the Tolkien Society's Best Book of 2023); in 2022, he received the Tolkien Society's 'Outstanding Contribution Award'.
